The works
We carried out the basement works in the following stages.
1. Sheet piling and excavation
Steel sheet piles were installed around the perimeter and braced with steel props, and the ground was excavated within them.
2. Base slab
A concrete base slab was cast at the bottom of the excavation.
3. Reinforced concrete walls
Steel reinforcement was fixed and the walls were cast using formwork held in place with support props.
4. Waterbar
A waterbar was fitted along the wall joints.
5. Steelwork
Steel beams and a steel column were installed.
6. Roof slab
Steel reinforcement was fixed and the concrete roof slab was cast.
